KATSEYE turned their Coachella debut into a viral moment on April 10, bringing out the voices behind fictional group HUNTR/X for a surprise performance of “Golden.” The collaboration quickly became one of the biggest highlights from the Sahara Stage—and a must-watch moment from the festival’s opening night.
Taking the stage for a 45-minute set, KATSEYE performed as a five-member unit amid Manon’s ongoing hiatus, with Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae delivering a tightly choreographed, high-energy show. Precision remained a defining element throughout the performance, with fans also noting Yoonchae’s newly debuted blonde look, first introduced in the “Pinky Up” music video released on April 9.
Midway through the set, the group shifted gears for its most viral moment. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami joined KATSEYE on stage to perform “Golden,” a track associated with the fictional group HUNTR/X from the Oscar-winning animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Beyond the surprise, the setlist reinforced KATSEYE’s rising global momentum. Tracks like “Debut,” “Internet Girl,” “Gabriela,” and “Gnarly” anchored the show, showcasing a catalog that has already translated into strong chart traction. Earlier this year, “Internet Girl” debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to No. 13 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart, marking a commercial breakthrough for the group.
Timing amplified the impact. The performance arrived just one day after the release of “Pinky Up,” which secured 7.261 million views in its first day on YouTube and debuted at No. 83 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart with 1.652 million streams despite limited tracking hours. After their Coachella debut, the song gained traction, entering the top 20 on Spotify and logging over 3 million streams. Momentum around the group remains high heading into their second Coachella appearance scheduled for April 17.
