KATSEYE are turning early momentum into measurable results. Released on April 9 at 12 p.m. EDT (9 a.m. PT), “Pinky Up” has delivered the group’s biggest YouTube debut to date, pulling in 7.261 million views within its first tracking window, just hours before their Coachella 2026 debut.

That figure marks a new personal best and signals a rapid expansion of their global footprint. Additionally, it became the most viewed music video by a Western girl group in the first 24 hours in YouTube history, surpassing Fifth Harmony’s “That’s My Girl.” Even with a partial tracking day, the single made a notable impact on streaming platforms. On Spotify, “Pinky Up” debuted at No. 83 on the Daily Global chart with 1.652 million streams. The performance builds on the breakthrough success of “Internet Girl,” which debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year and climbed to No. 13 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart.

Timing plays a crucial role in the rollout. Arriving less than 24 hours before their scheduled appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the single functions as both a promotional catalyst and a high-stakes test of audience engagement. Anticipation surrounding their Sahara stage debut has only intensified interest in the release, amplifying both its reach and scrutiny.

Manon’s absence remains central to the conversation. Neither featured on the track nor in the video, her hiatus—confirmed by HYBE on April 9—has sparked immediate and divided fan reactions. Social media responses have ranged from support to frustration, with posts like “WE WANT MANON” and “this is not my Katseye..my Katseye that i know is 6” circulating widely, reshaping the narrative around the comeback.
