KATSEYE are addressing the biggest question surrounding their current era. In a new interview with Zane Lowe, the group spoke candidly about Manon’s ongoing hiatus, offering reassurance just hours after releasing “Pinky Up” and ahead of their Coachella debut.
“Manon has been on hiatus, and we love her so much!” the members said. “We know she’s doing well, and she got to talk to the fans about it. We’re just really excited and rooting for all of us and each other.” The statement continued with a message of unity: “We’ve gotten through so much together… we all just want each other to win, be okay, and feel good. She’s our sister forever, and we love her so much! We built this together, so we want to give her all the space, whatever she needs.”
The remarks arrive at a critical moment. On April 9, 2026, KATSEYE released “Pinky Up,” marking their first new music in months and setting the stage for their debut at Coachella 2026 on April 10. Despite the high-profile rollout, Manon is absent from both the track and its accompanying visual, confirming her continued break from group activities.
Earlier that same day, HYBE stated that “Manon remains on hiatus” in response to media inquiries regarding her participation in upcoming promotions. That confirmation followed weeks of speculation fueled by her absence from teasers and her removal of the group’s name from her social media bio.
This isn’t the first time the group has shown support for Manon. On March 13, during KATSEYE’s performance at Lollapalooza Argentina, Sophia gave her bandmate a shoutout, telling the crowd, “Let’s give it up for Manon!”
