KATSEYE’s first-ever appearance at Governors Ball has turned into one of the festival’s biggest performances of the weekend. According to Live Nation, an estimated 45,000 fans attended the group’s set on June 5, highlighting the remarkable momentum behind one of pop music’s fastest-rising acts.
The global girl group took over the GovBallNYC Presented by Verizon stage at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, delivering a high-energy performance that transformed a large section of Flushing Meadows Corona Park into a massive singalong.
Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae arrived in colorful stage outfits featuring shades of purple, pink, blue, and red, immediately commanding attention from the thousands gathered around the stage. Opening with their latest single “PINKY UP,” KATSEYE balanced new material with fan favorites, including “Gnarly” and “Gabriela,” maintaining relentless energy throughout the performance.
This isn’t the first time KATSEYE has attracted such an impressive turnout during a festival performance. Less than a year ago, the group drew approximately 85,000 people to their Lollapalooza debut. At the time, festival organizers confirmed it was the largest early afternoon crowd in Lollapalooza history, breaking all previous attendance records for that time slot.
The turnout reflects KATSEYE’s explosive growth throughout 2026. Earlier this year, the group earned three American Music Awards and continued expanding its international fanbase across North America, Europe, and Asia. Their Governors Ball performance arrives just months before the release of WILD, their upcoming third EP scheduled for August 14, and the beginning of the WILDWORLD Tour.
