KATSEYE’s rapid ascent reached another milestone on Friday (June 5) when the global girl group made its highly anticipated debut at Governors Ball 2026. Taking over the GovBallNYC Presented by Verizon stage at 6:35 p.m., the quintet delivered one of the festival’s most energetic performances, drawing a massive crowd inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park and proving why they have become one of pop’s hottest new acts.
Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeong arrived dressed in vibrant stage outfits featuring shades of purple, pink, red, and blue, complete with fishnets and fringe details that matched the colorful energy of their set. Sharing the bill with Friday headliners Lorde and Baby Keem, the group wasted no time turning the Queens crowd into a singalong.
The setlist blended material from KATSEYE’s upcoming EP WILD with fan favorites from the Beautiful Chaos era. They opened the show with the new single “PINKY UP,” while established hits including “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” kept the energy flowing.
Audience turnout reflected the group’s extraordinary momentum throughout 2026. Videos circulating across social media showed thousands of attendees packed tightly around the main stage hours before KATSEYE’s appearance. Among those spotted enjoying the performance was none other than Cardi B, who attended with her daughter Kulture and watched the set from within the crowd.
The Governors Ball appearance arrives during a pivotal period for the group. Despite Manon’s ongoing hiatus, KATSEYE continues to expand its global reach at an impressive pace. Last month, the group secured three American Music Awards, while anticipation continues building around WILD, their third EP, scheduled for release on August 14.
Demand for KATSEYE’s upcoming THE WILDWORLD TOUR has been equally remarkable. Several dates sold out during the Weverse Membership Presale before general ticket sales even began, with fan-reported queue numbers approaching 300,000 across multiple cities. Organizers quickly added a second London date after overwhelming demand flooded the initial on-sale. All dates sold out quickly.
