KATSEYE’s Sophia Laforteza will not participate in the opening European and UK dates of the group’s upcoming Wildworld Tour as she continues to focus on her well-being. On August 30, HYBE x Geffen confirmed that Sophia will miss the scheduled shows from September 1 through September 17, with further updates to be shared as her recovery progresses.
In a statement released to fans, HXG said Sophia is “focusing on her well-being” and that the company remains committed to providing her with the support and resources she needs. The label also asked EYEKONS to continue showing their “love, warmth, and support” for Sophia, emphasizing that the health and long-term well-being of its artists remains the priority.

The announcement follows a longer absence from KATSEYE activities. Earlier this month, the group said Sophia would remain on hiatus from promotional schedules after consultations with medical professionals, who advised her to take extended time for rest and ongoing care. At that time, HXG said her condition would be reassessed in September.
Sophia’s absence also follows an earlier setback in July. On July 30, she was unable to perform with KATSEYE at the 2026 Hinterland Music Festival because of illness, leaving Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae to perform as a four-member group.
KATSEYE is now preparing for the Wildworld Tour while dealing with another lineup change. Megan recently suffered an ankle sprain during rehearsal on August 26 and was subsequently advised by doctors to stay off the injury, forcing the group to withdraw from Olivia Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival on August 29.
That decision came just days after KATSEYE celebrated a major career milestone. WILD debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated August 29, giving the group its first chart-topper in the United States. The five-track EP, released August 14 through HYBE x Geffen Records, opened with 170,000 equivalent album units, including 145,000 in pure album sales.
With Sophia and Manon already away from activities and Megan recovering from her injury, KATSEYE’s Wildworld era has entered a complicated stretch just as the group reaches a new commercial peak. The European and UK leg begins September 1 and runs through September 17, leaving fans to see how the four active members will approach the opening shows while Sophia continues her recovery.
