KATSEYE are entering the biggest era of their career so far, but the momentum surrounding WILD and the newly announced WILDWORLD TOUR has also intensified speculation around Manon’s future in the group. As the six-member act prepares for a major international expansion in 2026, one member’s continued absence has become impossible for fans to ignore.
On May 13, KATSEYE officially unveiled THE WILDWORLD TOUR, a 2026 run spanning Europe and North America in support of their upcoming EP WILD, due August 14 through HYBE x Geffen. Powered by the smash hit “Pinky Up” and fresh off a buzzy Coachella debut, the group appears to be operating at full speed commercially. Behind the scenes, however, questions surrounding Manon’s hiatus continue to grow louder.
1. Why is KATSEYE touring as a five-member group?
The most immediate question came directly from the tour announcement itself. Promotional materials for THE WILDWORLD TOUR only feature Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, confirming that the upcoming September-through-November run will move forward without Manon on stage.
Her hiatus officially began on February 20, 2026, when HYBE x Geffen announced she would temporarily step away from activities to focus on her “health and wellbeing.” Since then, KATSEYE have continued every major public appearance as a five-member act, including their April 10 Coachella performance at the Sahara Stage and the ongoing WILD rollout.
Tours require months of rehearsals, choreography blocking, visual production, and contractual planning. Once a company publicly markets a tour configuration, especially one tied to VIP packages and global ticketing, significant lineup changes become less likely during the run itself.
2. Is Manon still officially part of KATSEYE?
Technically, yes. Official platforms still identify KATSEYE as a six-member group, and neither HYBE nor Geffen has announced a departure. Their original statement framed the situation as temporary, emphasizing support for Manon and expressing hope for her eventual return.
Still, fans have increasingly pointed toward signs that suggest a more complicated situation may be unfolding privately. Manon has remained absent from group-centered social activity throughout the WILD era, including teaser campaigns, “Pinky Up” promotions, and Coachella-related posts. Observers also noticed that she removed “KATSEYE” from her social media bio earlier this year, fueling speculation online.
One detail amplified discussion further: Manon attended Coachella 2026 as a guest and was reportedly seen in the crowd during several performances, yet she did not appear at KATSEYE’s own set despite the group delivering one of the festival’s most talked-about performances. For fans closely following the situation, that disconnect raised new questions about whether this hiatus reflects recovery, creative distance, or something more permanent.
3. How will the WILD era function without her?
So far, surprisingly smoothly. “Pinky Up” quickly became one of KATSEYE’s strongest-performing releases, generating 7.261 million YouTube views within its first 24 hours while surging into Spotify’s global rankings days later. Their Coachella set also demonstrated how effectively the remaining five members adapted to the group’s more aggressive performance style.
WILD appears designed around intensity, speed, and sharper sonic experimentation. During a May 7 appearance on Instagram’s Close Friends Only with Larray, members described the EP as “crazier than ‘Gnarly’ and ‘Beautiful Chaos,’” teasing major stylistic shifts across the tracklist.
That evolution may explain why the transition into a five-member structure has looked relatively seamless publicly. Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae have each absorbed larger performance roles without noticeably disrupting the group’s chemistry on stage.
Questions remain regarding whether Manon’s vocals appear anywhere on the EP itself. Depending on recording timelines, some material may have originated before February. At the moment, though, the rollout strategy strongly suggests HYBE x Geffen are positioning WILD as a fully five-member campaign.
4. Will Manon return before the end of 2026?
Based on the current schedule, the odds appear increasingly slim. THE WILDWORLD TOUR begins September 1 in Dublin and concludes November 27 in Mexico City, covering nearly three months of tightly scheduled international dates. Because the tour has already been marketed globally as a five-member production, reintegrating Manon midway through the run would create logistical complications across staging, choreography, visuals, and merchandise branding.
That does not necessarily mean she is gone permanently. Entertainment companies often avoid definitive announcements until future comeback cycles are finalized internally. HYBE x Geffen’s wording also left the door intentionally open by stating the group looks forward to being together again “when the time is right.”
Still, as months continue passing without public interaction between Manon and the group, uncertainty naturally grows.
5. Can KATSEYE maintain momentum during this transition?
Commercially, the answer currently appears to be yes. KATSEYE earned three nominations at the 2026 American Music Awards, including New Artist of the Year, while Beautiful Chaos became a Billboard top-five project in 2025. Their rise since Dream Academy has accelerated faster than many expected, especially internationally.
Yet the emotional core of KATSEYE has always centered around the chemistry fans watched develop in real time through the survival-show process. That history makes Manon’s absence feel different from a standard lineup adjustment. Fans are not simply reacting to missing vocals or choreography formations; they are reacting to the possibility that a foundational dynamic may be changing permanently.
