KATSEYE celebrated the release of its third EP, WILD, with a high-energy performance on NBC’s TODAY as part of the Citi Concert Series, while once again making it clear that Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman remain at the heart of the group. Before performing at Rockefeller Plaza in New York, Lara Raj delivered a heartfelt message that drew loud cheers from the crowd.
“We stand by Sophia and Manon, through and through. And we ride for that,” Lara told fans, prompting an enthusiastic response from the audience gathered for the morning concert.
The appearance came just hours after WILD officially arrived on streaming platforms. Performing as a quartet, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae showcased songs from the new project, opening with the energetic new single “Hootie Frutti” before delivering “Pinky Up” and closing with fan favorite “Gabriela.”
Lara’s comments continue a message KATSEYE has consistently shared throughout the current promotional cycle. During the group’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, she thanked fans for supporting Sophia and Manon during their hiatuses, saying the members had “nothing but so much love and support” for both artists while praising Eyekons for standing beside them.
Sophia recently stepped away from activities to focus on her mental health, while Manon has remained on an extended wellness hiatus since February. Despite ongoing speculation surrounding the group’s future lineup, the active members have repeatedly emphasized that both singers are still part of KATSEYE, using each major public appearance to reinforce that message.
The concert also launched what promises to be a busy day for the group following the release of WILD. The EP features previously released singles “Pinky Up” and “Animal,” alongside the new tracks “Hootie Frutti,” “Bel Air” and “That Way.” Ahead of the project’s arrival, “Animal” became KATSEYE’s highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 debut, opening at No. 24 and continuing the group’s upward trajectory in the United States.
