JISOO has done it again! The BLACKPINK star has won the InMusic Song of the Month title for October 2026, securing her second consecutive victory with “ADDICTED” after beating fellow group member LISA’s “Tarantino” in the final round. The result gives the singer another milestone in the history of the monthly fan poll.
With this latest achievement, JISOO becomes the first and only K-pop act to win the InMusic Song of the Month title three times. She is also the first to claim the honor twice in the same calendar year and in back-to-back months, extending a record that began with her October 2025 victory for “Eyes Closed,” her collaboration with Zayn.
Her latest run follows September’s triumph with “CLICK,” which ended an 11-month wait between monthly poll victories. That win had already made JISOO the only K-pop artist to claim the distinction multiple times. Now, “ADDICTED” has strengthened her position, giving her three wins across two consecutive years and making her the first artist from the genre to dominate the competition in consecutive months.
K-pop artists have not frequently claimed the monthly title since the poll began in 2021. BTS’ Jung Kook became the first to win in June 2022 with “Left and Right,” his collaboration with Charlie Puth, although the song was not a K-pop release. Taeyang and LISA followed in April 2023, when “Shoong!” became the first K-pop song to take the honor. BLACKPINK’s “The Girls” won in August of that year, while BTS’ Jimin secured the December title with “Closer Than This.”
JISOO then brought the genre back to the top in October 2025 with “Eyes Closed,” ending a stretch of almost two years without a K-pop winner. Her subsequent victories with “CLICK” and “ADDICTED” have turned that breakthrough into an unprecedented run. The achievement also highlights the continued influence of BLACKPINK’s members in the monthly competition, with LISA finishing as the runner-up in October.
Beyond the final showdown between the two BLACKPINK stars, October delivered several notable releases that gave fans plenty to choose from. LISA introduced her new EP PRESS PLAY, featuring “Tarantino,” while Olivia Rodrigo brought Chappell Roan into the world of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love with a remix of “expectations.” Tate McRae also continued building anticipation for her fourth studio album with “Housewife,” a release that has maintained a strong presence on Spotify’s charts since arriving last month.
