Katy Perry is bringing The Lifetimes Tour to the big screen. The pop superstar announced that her concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live From Paris, will receive a limited worldwide theatrical release in IMAX and cinemas on September 2, giving fans another chance to experience one of the biggest tours of her career.
Alongside the announcement, Katy Perry unveiled a new 31-second trailer, writing: “Don’t miss Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live From Paris in IMAX on Wednesday, September 2nd and cinemas for a limited time only. Sign up at katyperryconcertfilm.com to be the first to get local cinema info.”
The theatrical release follows the film’s world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 8, where it introduced audiences to Perry’s celebrated performances at Accor Arena in Paris. The project captures one of the most memorable stops of The Lifetimes Tour, a city where overwhelming demand prompted the singer to expand her schedule from one concert to three. Initially booked for October 24, 2025, the Paris engagement added two November dates after tickets sold out, making it one of the defining moments of the European leg.
When first announcing the film in April, Katy Perry framed it as a celebration of resilience following years of intense public scrutiny surrounding her comeback. “They said I couldn’t. I did it. And I filmed it. For the fans,” she wrote, positioning the documentary-style concert experience as both a personal milestone and a thank-you to supporters who followed the tour around the world.
Commercially, The Lifetimes Tour became another landmark achievement for the pop superstar. Running across 91 dates between April 23, 2025, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City and December 7, 2025, at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi, the global trek grossed more than $134 million while selling approximately 1.05 million tickets. Those figures made it Perry’s second highest-grossing tour, trailing only the Prismatic World Tour, while also marking her first worldwide arena tour since Witness: The Tour concluded in 2018.
The concert film arrives during another active chapter of Perry’s career. Earlier this summer, she launched a new musical era with “Watch It Burn,” released on June 25 alongside a cinematic music video. Describing the song as one of her most personal recordings, Perry explained that it explores confronting emotions she had long kept hidden. “In ‘Watch It Burn’, I am wrestling with my darkness,” she said ahead of its release. “Last year was pretty tough.”
