Kesha has shared her admiration for Lady Gaga and her new album MAYHEM in a new interview with People magazine, calling herself “a Little Monster” and expressing how much Gaga’s music inspires her.
“I’m such a Little Monster. I’ve realized that my Animals look to me in a way that is how I look at Lady Gaga. I was counting down until the record came out. I’m obsessed with ‘Abracadabra.’ I also love ‘Blade of Grass.’ It’s so good. ‘How Bad Do U Want Me’ is f—ing amazing. ‘The Beast,’ sexy… ‘Killah’ is amazing too, and her performance on SNL was incredible,” Kesha said, praising multiple tracks from MAYHEM.

She went on to reflect on Gaga’s impact as an artist, noting how much she admires her as a performer, vocalist, and songwriter. “She’s kind of like a one-in-a-million artist, and I’m lucky to be able to see this in real time,” Kesha added. “Her first song came out not that long before mine, but I’ve always looked up to her. She’s such an incredible performer, vocalist, and writer. She’s really inspiring.”
Lady Gaga released MAYHEM on March 22, 2025, marking her return to dance, house, and experimental pop. The album has received widespread acclaim, with standout tracks like “Abracadabra,” “Blade of Grass,” and “Disease” becoming fan favorites. On the other hand, Kesha is kicking off a new chapter in her career. She has hinted at her sixth album multiple times, marking her first independent release since departing from RCA Records. Now with full creative control over her music, the singer has founded her own label, Kesha Records. This Thursday, March 27, she will unveil the album’s third single, “Yippee-Ki-Yay,” featuring rapper T-Pain. This collaboration follows her previous singles, “Joyride” and “Delusional.”
