LISA and Anyma are moving fast. The pair have announced their new single “Bad Angel,” set for release on Wednesday, April 8, less than 48 hours after the reveal.
News of the collaboration arrives just days after LISA teased studio activity on Instagram, signaling that new music was imminent. That hint now materializes into her first new solo release in over a year, landing at a strategic moment ahead of Anyma’s upcoming Coachella appearance. The producer is scheduled to debut a new live concept titled Aeden during his set at Coachella 2026, where LISA is rumored to join him onstage for a surprise performance tied to the track.
The timing adds weight to an already active cycle. In February, LISA reunited with BLACKPINK for their EP Deadline, which quickly reset benchmarks. According to Hanteo Chart data, the project moved 1.4 million copies within its first hours, marking the highest first-day sales total ever recorded by a girl group. That milestone extended the group’s streak following 2022’s Born Pink, making them the first girl group to log multiple albums surpassing one million sales within 24 hours.
Away from group activity, LISA’s solo trajectory has evolved independently since her 2023 departure from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records. Her debut album Alter Ego, released on February 28, 2025 via Lloud and RCA Records, introduced a 15-track concept built around shifting personas. The set debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top Album Sales chart in the United States, while reaching No. 6 on South Korea’s Circle Retail Album Chart.
Singles from the project delivered global traction. “Rockstar” reached the top five on the Billboard Global 200 and topped charts in Hong Kong and Malaysia, while “Born Again” and “Dream” both hit No. 1 in Thailand. Three tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100. A recent livestream further fueled anticipation, as LISA reacted to fan comments about a new album with a smile that hinted at more material in progress.
“Bad Angel” now becomes the first concrete step into that next phase.
Additionally, LISA recently announced her first Las Vegas residency, Viva La Lisa, set to run across two weekends in November at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, making the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency.
