Nicki Minaj is setting the record straight on her Super Bowl halftime show plans—or rather, the lack of them. In a recent statement to fans, the rap icon shared that she has no interest in performing at a future Super Bowl, despite ongoing speculation and fan requests.
“God bless anybody that gets chosen for the Super Bowl,” Minaj said. “I mean this from the bottom of my heart— I don’t want to do the Super Bowl. I’ve [already] done the Super Bowl.”

The Queens-born superstar is referencing her 2012 halftime performance alongside Madonna and M.I.A. at Super Bowl XLVI, where she took the stage to perform “Give Me All Your Luvin’.” While many fans hoped she’d return to headline in her own right, Minaj made it clear she’s grateful for the experience but is ready to move forward.
“It’s an amazing opportunity for anyone,” she continued. “I think it’s such a super dope thing that musicians get to show their talents on that large scale. That’s f**king amazing.”
