No Doubt officially brought ska-punk nostalgia into the future on May 6, launching their long-awaited Las Vegas Sphere residency with a career-spanning spectacle that merged classic hits, deep cuts, and immersive visuals unlike anything the band has attempted before. The opening night marked their first extended residency in 14 years.

Performing as the original lineup — Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young — the band delivered a 21-song set inside the Sphere’s towering 16K LED environment, transforming the venue into a hyper-stylized version of Southern California. Fans were immediately thrown back into the Tragic Kingdom era when the group opened with the album’s title track, a song they had not performed live since 2009.

Animated palm trees, distorted comic-book visuals, neon sunsets, and vintage No Doubt iconography stretched across the Sphere’s 160,000-square-foot screen throughout the night. The production leaned heavily into the band’s Orange County roots while embracing the futuristic scale of the venue’s immersive technology.

Longtime fans were rewarded with several surprises beyond the expected hits. “The Climb” returned to the setlist for the first time since 1997, while “Running” also resurfaced after years absent from live performances.

One of the evening’s defining moments arrived during “Just a Girl,” which turned into a full-arena sing-along amplified by the Sphere’s 360-degree audio system.

The residency follows No Doubt’s widely celebrated 2024 Coachella reunion, which reignited interest in the group after nearly a decade away from major live performances. Initial Sphere dates sold so quickly that the run expanded to 12 nights before eventually growing into an 18-show engagement through June.
