Olivia Rodrigo is officially turning the page to her next musical chapter. On September 8, the Grammy-winning pop star shared a handwritten-style note to fans celebrating the two-year anniversary of her sophomore album, Guts—and hinting that new music is closer than ever.
“hiii I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since Guts came out!” Rodrigo wrote. “Thank you to every single one of you who listened to the album, came to the Guts World Tour, or saw me play at a festival. I made the most incredible memories over the last two years & I can’t wait to share what’s next with you soon!!” She signed off with her usual playful “xO, fun,” before teasing another surprise: a live vinyl release of “Live From Glastonbury,” featuring her performance with Robert Smith of The Cure.

Just weeks earlier, Olivia wrapped her record-breaking Guts World Tour, which grossed more than $196 million and became the highest-grossing tour by an artist born in the 21st century. Alongside her message of gratitude, she also refreshed her official website, swapping in a striking purple-and-red design featuring her name in bold letters and an image of a girl with a bow and arrow—an aesthetic shift that fans believe signals the dawn of the highly anticipated “OR3” era.
The 22-year-old singer has been teasing this transition for months. During her final festival set at Osheaga in August, she appeared in a red T-shirt emblazoned with the number “3,” a subtle nod to her upcoming third album. Earlier this summer, she also shared behind-the-scenes studio photos, fueling speculation that new music was already in motion.
Two years later, Guts remains a massive success. Released in September 2023, the LP topped charts in 15 countries, moved 302,000 units in its first U.S. week, and earned multiple Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. Guts featured several smash hits, including singles like “Vampire,” “Bad Idea Right?” and “Get Him Back!”
