The BRIT Awards have named PinkPantheress as the 2026 Producer of the Year. At just 24, she becomes the youngest-ever recipient of the honor — and the first woman to receive it.
The award, decided by a specialist panel from the music production sector, recognizes excellence behind the boards as much as success on stage. Previous winners include Paul Epworth, Calvin Harris, Fred again.. and last year’s honoree A. G. Cook.
PinkPantheress has steadily built a reputation as a meticulous and instinctive producer. Long before her breakthrough, she was crafting instrumentals in her bedroom, blending UK dance influences with diaristic pop writing. That early experimentation culminated in her 2021 debut mixtape To Hell With It, a project that signaled a new voice in British music.
Her single “Boy’s a Liar” spent 28 weeks on the Official UK Singles Chart, peaking at No. 2, and reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it remained for 22 weeks. More recently, her mixtape Fancy That earned a shortlist placement for the 2025 Mercury Prize and produced standout tracks including “Stateside” and “Illegal.”
In a statement on Brits, PinkPantheress reflected on the milestone: “As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised. My music production is the thing I’m proudest of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion.”
Beyond Producer of the Year, PinkPantheress is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Dance Act, placing her among the most recognized names of the ceremony. The 2026 BRIT Awards will take place at Manchester’s Co-op Live on February 28.
