Manon of KATSEYE is stepping away from group activities to prioritize her health and wellbeing. The news was confirmed through a statement shared on Weverse, where the group addressed fans directly.

After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing,” the statement read. The members emphasized their full support for the decision and reassured fans that the group remains united during this period.

KATSEYE also confirmed that scheduled activities will continue without interruption. “KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us,” the message continued, adding that they look forward to reuniting as a full group “when the time is right.”

The statement concluded with gratitude toward their fanbase, EYEKONS, thanking them for their love, patience, and understanding.

No further details regarding the length of the hiatus were provided.

Shortly after the announcement, Manon shared a message to fans. “I want you to hear this from me, I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in,” she wrote. “Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to see you again.”

The hiatus comes during a particularly active chapter for both Manon and the group. In late January, Manon unveiled a personal creative project titled “NOT BAD,” a two-minute short film co-created with close friends Violet and Sophie. Released on her Instagram account (@meretmanon), the visual piece was described by the singer as a passion project made “with a lot of heart.”

Set largely inside a mid-century modern home, “NOT BAD” unfolds as a quiet and introspective narrative. Rather than following a strict storyline, the film prioritizes mood, stillness, and emotional restraint, leaning into subtle imagery and silence to convey its message.

Meanwhile, KATSEYE began the year with major milestones. During their Beautiful Chaos Tour, the group debuted the single “Internet Girl,” officially released on January 2. The track delivered their highest debut yet on the Daily Global Spotify Chart at No. 13 and entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 29. Earlier this month, they also performed at the Grammy Awards, signaling another breakthrough moment in their fast-rising career.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the group offered their clearest hint yet about what comes next. During the February 4 broadcast, they teased a new era defined by confidence, color, and momentum.
