ROSÉ and Bruno Mars continue to rewrite music history. Their smash hit collaboration “APT.” has now crossed 2 billion streams on Spotify, marking another extraordinary achievement for both artists. The milestone makes it ROSÉ’s first song to surpass the 2 billion mark and Bruno Mars’ seventh.
Even more impressively, “APT.” becomes the first song in history to reach 2 billion streams on both Spotify and YouTube in under a year. The track hit the same milestone on YouTube earlier this week, where it became the fastest video by an Asian act — and the fourth fastest overall — to achieve the feat. It also set a new record as the fastest music video by a female lead artist to surpass 2 billion views.

Released in late 2024 as a single from ROSÉ’s debut solo album Rosie, “APT.” has grown into a global cultural phenomenon. Upon release, the track topped the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts, giving ROSÉ her second No. 1 on both tallies. The song also shattered records on Spotify, becoming the fastest K-pop track to surpass 100 million streams and later reaching 1 billion streams in just 100 days — second only to Mars’ own “Die with a Smile” with Lady Gaga.
“APT.” dominated beyond Spotify as well. It topped Apple Music charts in 61 countries, becoming the first K-pop track to achieve such a feat. On YouTube, it raced past 900 million views in just 93 days, breaking the decade-old record set by PSY’s “Gangnam Style.” The song has since become a staple in global pop culture, holding 12 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and 19 weeks atop the Global Excl. US chart — the longest run in the chart’s history.
Its cultural impact was further solidified at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where “APT.” was crowned Song of the Year, earning ROSÉ her first VMA win.
