Ryan Tedder has confirmed that new Tate McRae music is officially on the horizon — and according to him, it’s some of her boldest material yet. In a recent interview, the OneRepublic frontman and Grammy-winning producer teased an unreleased track that may be released soon, describing it as “the most innuendo record I’ve been a part of in forever.”
“I listen and blush,” Tedder admitted. “I’m like, ‘Oh god, let’s see if we can get away with it.’ Some of Tate’s stuff [is sexy] because I’m working with an artist who’s in her early 20s and she has a very sexy presence, exudes femininity and is living her life.”

The comments have sparked excitement among fans eager for McRae’s next era. Tedder has become one of her most trusted collaborators in recent years, having co-written and produced several of her biggest hits — including “Greedy,” “Sports Car,” “It’s Ok I’m Ok,” “2 Hands,” and “Revolving Door.” He also helmed much of her last two studio albums, Think Later (2023) and So Close to What (2025). So Close to What, released in February 2025, marked a major milestone in McRae’s career as her first album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Despite wrapping up her massive Miss Possessive Tour this week, McRae has continued to tease fans with hints of new music. She has posted several photos from recording studios throughout the year, fueling speculation that a new single could arrive sooner than expected. Her latest release, “Tit for Tat,” dropped in September and quickly stirred online buzz for its references to ex-boyfriend The Kid Laroi.
