After teasing it in recent days, Shakira has finally announced her new album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” which translates to “Women Don’t Cry Anymore”. The album will be released on March 22 and marks her first album since 2017.

The Colombian star presented the album on her social with these words: “It is one I created together with all of you, my pack of shewolves who were there for me every step of the way. Making this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”
With her latest album, “El Dorado,” released almost seven years ago in 2017, anticipation for new music grows. “El Dorado” featured eight singles, including hits like “La Bicicleta” and “Chantaje,” and was supported by the successful El Dorado World Tour in 2018, Shakira’s most recent concert series.
Despite the hiatus, 2023 proved to be a memorable year for Shakira. She dominated the charts, particularly in Latin countries, with a string of smash hits. Collaborations like “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions” with Argentinian producer Bizarrap went viral, while her track “TQG” topped the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Fusion/Performance. Other successful releases included “Acróstico,” “Copa Vacía,” and “El Jefe.”
