Shakira and Burna Boy have scored a major global streaming milestone. Their FIFA World Cup anthem “Dai Dai” has climbed to No. 1 on the Weekly Spotify Global Songs chart for the first time, becoming the platform’s most-streamed song during the week ending July 9.

The collaboration generated more than 30 million streams over the tracking period, capping off a steady rise fueled by the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup. For Shakira, the achievement marks her first-ever No. 1 on Spotify’s weekly global chart. She previously came close with “TQG” alongside Karol G and “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, both of which peaked at No. 2.

The weekly triumph follows another impressive run on Spotify’s daily rankings. “Dai Dai” first reached No. 1 on the Daily Global Spotify Chart on July 1 and has now spent eight total days atop the list. That places the single alongside BTS’ “Swim,” Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me,” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” as one of only four songs released in 2026 to spend at least a full week at No. 1 on the daily global ranking.

Released on May 15 as the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “Dai Dai” pairs Shakira with Nigerian superstar Burna Boy for an energetic celebration of football and international unity. The single received an additional boost after the pair performed it during the tournament’s opening ceremony on June 11, while Shakira also added the song to the setlist of the U.S. leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

The latest milestone continues an exceptional year for Shakira on Spotify. On July 5, the Colombian icon became the first female Latin artist in history to surpass 100 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform.

Elsewhere on this week’s Weekly Spotify Global chart, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj’s “Beauty and a Beat” is No. 2, while Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” returns to the top three at No. 3. Malcom Todd reaches a new peak with “Earring” at No. 5, and Temper City breaks into the top 10 for the first time as “Self Aware” climbs three spots to No. 10. Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” rebounds to No. 17 following renewed attention surrounding her wedding, while Bruno Mars’ “Risk It All” also returns to the top 20 at No. 19 thanks to momentum from The Romantic Tour.
