Taylor Swift has confirmed the release details for the long-anticipated music video for “Opalite.” The visual will premiere on February 6 at 8 a.m. ET and will be available exclusively on Spotify and Apple Music at launch, a first-of-its-kind move for a global pop artist of Swift’s stature.

The announcement arrives as “Opalite” continues to solidify its position as one of the standout tracks from The Life of a Showgirl. Quietly elevated to official single status last month, the song has shown steady streaming growth and strong fan engagement, aided by the release of a companion acoustic version.

The decision to debut the video outside of YouTube is especially significant. Swift becomes the first major pop artist to premiere a music video exclusively on Spotify and Apple Music, at least initially. The timing is not incidental. Starting from January 16, YouTube views no longer factor into Billboard’s Hot 100 or Billboard 200 calculations, ending a data partnership that shaped chart methodology for more than a decade.

In parallel with the video release, Swift is offering a limited-edition “Opalite” blue pearlescent 7-inch vinyl, available for pre-order through February 6 at 7 p.m. ET or while supplies last.

Speculation surrounding the video has circulated for months. Reports previously suggested Swift filmed a high-budget visual in the UK, with a South London shopping centre transformed into a stylized holiday set.
