Tyla is giving fans an early opportunity to experience her upcoming sophomore album A*POP before its official release. The South African star announced a series of exclusive fan listening sessions in partnership with YouTube, with events scheduled for Atlanta (July 19), London (July 16), and New York (July 23).

Fans can now register through tylaworld.com for a chance to attend one of the intimate sessions, where selected attendees will hear A*POP—or key tracks from the project—ahead of its July 24 release. While details about the venues and guest capacity have not yet been revealed, the announcement positions the events as a rare opportunity for listeners to experience the new era alongside fellow fans in a curated setting.

The listening sessions arrive just days before the release of A*POP, Tyla’s second studio album, which will be released through FAX and Epic Records. The project marks the follow-up to her breakout self-titled debut and reflects a noticeable artistic evolution.

Momentum for the album has continued to build in recent months through a steady rollout of singles. Most recently, Tyla released Is It Love on June 18, pairing the R&B-leaning track with a cinematic music video centered around themes of romance, vulnerability, and emotional uncertainty. Driven by airy synthesizers and Amapiano-inspired rhythms, the single placed greater emphasis on her vocal performance.

Earlier releases Chanel and “She Did It Again” featuring Zara Larsson also helped establish anticipation for the project. “Chanel” reached No. 15 on the UK Singles Chart and climbed to No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the collaboration with Larsson charted in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Speaking about the creative process earlier this year, Tyla explained that A*POP reflects a more mature stage of her life and career. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she shared that she feels transformed compared to the artist who created her debut album, saying that recent experiences have shaped both her perspective and songwriting.
