Zara Larsson is entering 2026 with a renewed sense of validation. In a new interview with People, the Swedish pop star reflected on what she describes as a long-overdue moment of recognition, following her first-ever Grammy nomination for Midnight Sun. The nod, earned in the Best Dance Pop Recording category, marks a major milestone in a career that has produced several global hits, from “Lush Life” to “Symphony.”
“I have a lot of comments every day from people who say, ‘I’m so happy you are finally getting your flowers,’” Larsson told People. “And that’s kind of what it feels like.”
Released in September 2025, Midnight Sun stands as Larsson’s fifth studio album and one of her most successful to date. The project blends sleek dance-pop with emotional clarity, balancing club-ready production with introspective lyricism. Working alongside longtime collaborator MNEK, as well as producers and writers including Margo XS, Zhone, and Helena Gao, Larsson crafted an album that quickly captured fans’ attention.
The success of Midnight Sun has extended beyond streaming platforms. Larsson launched the Midnight Sun Tour in Europe in October 2025, drawing strong crowds. The tour is set to continue through summer 2026, with the possibility of adding a Grammy win to its growing list of milestones.
