Fans have already been treated to a taste of the album with the release of two singles: “What I Am” and “Alienated.” While the “What I Am” was voted by fans as the InMusic Song of the Month of March, Zayn revealed that “Alienated” was the catalyst for the album’s sonic direction and vocal style.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Zayn opened up about the influences behind “Room Under The Stairs,” citing country music icons Chris Stapleton and Willie Nelson as key inspirations. While the album carries hints of country flair, Zayn emphasized that the album defies easy categorization. “You can’t really put them [the songs] in a genre,” he explained. “They’re just my take on different styles of music.”

With a desire to connect on a deeper level with his audience, Zayn aims to offer listeners a more intimate glimpse into his world through this upcoming release. Scheduled to drop on May 17th, “Room Under The Stairs” boasts a lineup of 15 tracks, more than all of his previous albums.
