Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns for Weekend 2 on April 17, with Day 1 set to mirror last week’s momentum while introducing key changes across the lineup. Set once again at the Empire Polo Club, Friday’s schedule blends high-profile pop, rising global acts, and electronic headliners, with updated set times and a few notable replacements shaping the flow of the day.
Sabrina Carpenter headlines the night with her “Sabrinawood” set, returning after a first weekend that leaned heavily into cinematic staging and fashion-forward visuals. Her performance is now scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM PT—five minutes earlier than Weekend 1—and will run ten minutes longer, signaling a slightly expanded production. Expectations remain high for potential surprises.
Closing out the night, Anyma brings his long-awaited Æden show to the desert after last week’s weather-related cancellation. The immersive audiovisual performance is expected to anchor the festival’s late-night programming, with speculation surrounding a guest appearance by LISA to perform “Bad Angel,” a collaboration that has yet to receive a live debut on this scale.
Earlier in the day, a diverse lineup sets the tone across stages. KATSEYE, BINI, and Teddy Swims are among the standout acts scheduled to perform. Several adjustments distinguish Weekend 2 from the opening run: Jaqck Glam takes over the 4:15 PM Main Stage slot, replacing Record Safari, while Jeremiah Red steps in at 2:50 PM on the Outdoor Theatre. Jim Smith also moves into the Sonora Stage’s 1:00 PM slot, replacing Doom Dave. Meanwhile, the Quasar stage features an entirely refreshed roster of DJ sets.
Streaming remains a core part of the experience. Fans worldwide can follow the festival via YouTube starting at 4:00 PM PT / 7:00 PM ET, with multi-stage broadcasts allowing real-time switching between performances. That digital reach has become essential to Coachella’s scale, extending the event far beyond Indio’s desert.
