Coachella returns to screens worldwide this weekend, and in 2026 the livestream is expanding into its most immersive format yet. Starting April 10, fans can watch the festival for free via YouTube, with upgraded features designed to replicate the in-person experience across two full weekends.
The broadcast kicks off Friday, April 10 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and will cover both weekends of Coachella 2026. Viewers can tune in through the official Coachella YouTube channel, which will host simultaneous streams from seven stages, allowing fans to curate their own schedule in real time.
How to Watch Coachella 2026 on YouTube for Free
Access is straightforward. Open YouTube on your phone, desktop, or smart TV and navigate to Coachella’s official channel once the livestream begins. No subscription is required, making the event globally accessible without paywalls. Notifications can be enabled in advance to avoid missing key sets, particularly for headliners and high-demand performances.
Streaming extends beyond a single feed. This year’s setup includes seven concurrent stage broadcasts, covering major hubs like the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Sahara, and the Quasar stage, which will be available in both horizontal and vertical formats.
What’s New in the 2026 Livestream
Several technical upgrades define this year’s rollout. Select stages—including Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, and Sahara—will stream in 4K resolution for the first time, offering a sharper, more cinematic viewing experience on larger displays.
Multiview functionality returns after driving more than half of total watchtime in 2025. The feature allows users to stream up to four stages simultaneously on compatible TVs, with the option to switch audio between feeds.
Another expansion comes in the form of “Coachella TV,” a 24/7 channel combining live performances, curated highlights, and archival footage. The channel will update continuously across both weekends, offering replay value beyond the live schedule.
Interactive elements are also evolving. The “Watch With” series returns for weekend two, pairing creators with specific performances. Confirmed sessions include Valkyrae joining KATSEYE, Terry and Kaniyia hosting KAROL G’s set, and Daniel Wall spotlighting Fujii Kaze.
Shopping, Discovery, and Personalization
YouTube is further integrating commerce into the experience. A virtual merchandise store will allow viewers to purchase limited-edition items directly from the livestream interface, including drops tied to artists like BINI, Ethel Cain, Foster The People, KATSEYE, Laufey, The xx, Turnstile, and Young Thug. Purchases can be completed via embedded links or QR codes without leaving the stream.
Discovery tools are also expanding. The official Coachella Livestream app syncs schedules to local time zones and recommends artists using AI-powered suggestions.
Timing
Both weekends will follow the same structure, with streams running across multiple stages each day. The April 10 launch marks the beginning of weekend one, with the second weekend following the standard Coachella format one week later.
