Leeds Festival 2026 continues today, Friday, August 28, with Florence + The Machine and Chase & Status Live headlining the first full day at Bramham Park. Following Kasabian’s history-making Thursday night, the festival’s Friday schedule brings together major alternative, rock, electronic and dance acts across its expanded stage setup.
The 2026 edition runs from August 27–30 as part of the UK’s August bank holiday weekend, with around 90,000 festivalgoers expected across more than 120 acts and seven stages. Friday is the first full arena day after organisers introduced a revamped site featuring The Grid, The Gallery, The Warehouse, The Ballroom and The Canopy, alongside returning late-night spaces LS23 and Piccadilly.
Friday’s headline action is concentrated on The Grid, where Florence + The Machine takes the stage at 7:20 p.m. The performance marks Florence Welch’s first appearance at Leeds Festival since 2012 and her only UK festival performance of 2026, arriving during the Everybody Scream era.
Chase & Status Live will follow at 9:30 p.m., closing The Grid and bringing the festival’s opening full day to a dance-heavy finish. The duo announced their new album Generic Everything earlier this week, with the project scheduled for October 2 alongside the release of “Gone Too Far.”
The day follows an unusual opening night in Leeds history. Kasabian became the first Thursday headliner in the festival’s 27-year history on August 27, performing at 9:20 p.m. after The Lathums and Arkayla. Their appearance came despite severe-weather warnings issued ahead of the set, with organisers advising campers to seek shelter during the thunderstorm risk.
Friday’s schedule also sets up the rest of a particularly busy Leeds weekend. Charli XCX and Fontaines D.C. headline Saturday, while RAYE and Dave take over The Grid on Sunday, completing a six-headliner lineup shared with Reading that makes history as the first all-British-and-Irish top bill at the festivals in 25 years.
