Can you share any memorable experiences or stories from your journey as a band so far?

One of our most memorable experiences was a week-long retreat in Costa Brava back in January. We rented an apartment and set up a makeshift home studio, intentionally leaving out the television to stay focused. Our goal was to write 5-10 songs, but we ended up crafting 30! The creative energy was incredible, and we came away with some amazing ideas. From that trip, we’ve already written two albums—one of which will be released next year, right after our EP drops in October.

Rebecca, how do you balance your solo career with your work with the band?

As a woman, juggling multiple things at once is like a superpower! Honestly, I’m not sure how I managed when I was working full-time in recruitment while also managing the band and my solo career. Since leaving the corporate world, I’ve been able to fully focus on my music. When BEX is busy, which is a lot lately, that’s where my attention goes. I manage my solo career on specific days, working with producers on new music whenever BEX has some breathing space. But with our EP launch around the corner, BEX is getting 100% of my focus for now. Starting in November, I’ll shift gears and begin releasing new material for my solo career.

What is the meaning behind this song?

“The song is about being deeply in love with someone and expressing a longing to reach a deeper connection with them. It’s about finding that person who makes you feel euphoric—like you’re on a natural high, and love takes you to a completely different place. The lyrics are asking, ‘When will we be ready to take that leap and fly away together?’ It’s about waiting for that moment when both hearts are fully aligned and ready to soar as one.”

“Fly Away” is the 3rd single from your upcoming EP. What can we expect from the rest of the project?

The EP is a journey through a variety of genres, each track bringing its own unique energy and mood. It’s a blend of raw emotion—celebrating love, overcoming heartache, and finding freedom from pain. Through powerful storytelling, the EP captures the highs and lows of life and relationships, all while staying true to the signature BEX sound. It’s an eclectic mix that showcases the versatility of BEX, proving that no matter the genre, it all still feels undeniably ‘BEX.

What is a message you would like to give through your music, and why?

Our message through our music is to remind people that music still has the power to make you feel deeply, to connect with every emotion—joy, love, pain, and everything in between. We want to bring back that feeling where music isn’t just background noise but something that moves you and heals you. We believe music has a special power; it can mend a broken heart and lift your spirit, and we’re here to create that kind of music.
