The new song arrives just two days before Gracie Abrams returns to SNL as musical guest on the show’s Halloween episode, airing October 31. Actress Inde Navarrette will host the episode, with Abrams taking the musical stage for her second appearance on the NBC sketch-comedy institution. Her first SNL performance came in December 2024, during the run of her second album, The Secret of Us.

Gracie Abrams’ return comes at a pivotal moment in her career. Released in July, Daughter From Hell debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 124,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the tracking week ending July 23. The achievement gave Abrams her first chart-topping album in the U.S., following the success of Good Riddance and The Secret of Us. She also secured two consecutive No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart.

The album’s opening week was also marked by strong streaming activity. On July 17, Daughter From Hell generated 17.96 million global Spotify streams, with six tracks appearing simultaneously on the platform’s Daily Global Songs chart. “Good Reason” led the group, debuting at No. 49 with more than 2 million streams. Other tracks, including “Look at My Life,” “Hit the Wall,” “Death Wish,” “The Knife” and the title track, also entered the chart.

“Here You Come, There You Go” now offers Abrams another opportunity to build on that momentum before she takes the new material on the road. Her The Look at My Life Tour is scheduled to begin in December, giving the single a short runway to establish itself before the live shows begin.
