Alt-pop artist Megan Nadin is building a name for herself through deeply personal songs that strike a chord with listeners who value honesty, healing, and emotional depth. Hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Megan describes her sound as melodic, meaningful, and relatable—words that perfectly reflect her latest single, “In Another Life.”

The piano-driven track, released in March, explores the feeling of meeting the right person at the wrong time. Written in 432Hz to match the healing tone of the story, the song offers a blend of heartbreak and quiet acceptance. “It’s not about blame,” she explains. “It’s about honoring what existed and allowing yourself to move forward.” The single has already struck a chord with fans, and for Megan, it marks not only an emotional release but also a turning point in her creative journey.

Drawing from real experiences, Megan’s songwriting is more than just musical—it’s spiritual. “Sometimes I sing into the air and follow where the melody takes me,” she says. Her intuitive process, paired with her background as an educator and mental health advocate, helps her write from a place of compassion and truth.

Now, with her next single “Bittersweet” arriving August 8, Megan is ready to continue building her catalog—one heartfelt story at a time.

If you could capture the essence of your music in three words, what would they be?

Melodic, meaningful & relatable.

Can you walk us through your creative process when crafting new music?

Sometimes I pick up an instrument… Sometimes I sing into the air and follow where the melody takes me… Other times I build a chord progression or track and write around it. No matter how a song starts, my creative process is always a very spiritual, intuitive practice for me. This might sound “hippy-dippy” but I truly believe I’m simply the vessel reaching and grabbing things that are waiting to be created.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I’m usually most inspired by anything that tugs on my heartstrings and gets me caught in my own mind.. be it my own experiences, the experiences of people around me, or the world as a whole.

Can you tell us about your latest single, “In Another Life”?

It’s a song about finding what feels like the right love at the wrong time. It’s a piano-driven track that sits in the space between heartbreak and acceptance. It was the first song I released in 432Hz, which felt fitting to the healing nature of the story. Writing it helped me process the quiet grief of letting go, while still holding love for what was.

What is the meaning behind this song?

At its core, the song is about timing — and how sometimes, no matter how deep the connection, things don’t work out the way we hope. It’s not about blame or regret but about honouring what existed and allowing yourself to move forward. “In Another Life” became a way for me to make peace with the situation and to say the things I never got the chance to say out loud.

The song was released in March. What are you currently working on?

I’m currently working on production for a number of songs that I’m really excited about sharing. The next set to release is titled “Bittersweet”, and drops August 8th!

Beyond music, you are a mental health advocate and have a background as an educator working with at-risk youth. How have these experiences impacted you, both as a person and as a singer-songwriter?

They’ve definitely shared the way I see the world — and how I show up in it. Working with people who’ve been through a lot taught me the importance of listening, holding space, and leading with empathy. It’s inspired me to write songs that tell the truth, hoping someone out there might feel seen in the process.

What message would you like to convey through your music, and why?

I want my music to reflect the full range of being human — the joy, the heartbreak, and everything in between. I hope my songs convey the message that it’s okay to feel it all and that there’s strength, beauty and even light to be find in every part of the journey.

Is there anything else you’d like people to know?

I never imagined I’d be sharing my music so openly. I’ve been writing songs since I was a little girl, to be here now— with a catalogue of music that’s reached beyond the four walls of my bedroom, feels like such a gift. No matter where they lead me, the fact that I’m doing it when I never thought I could, feels like the ultimate win. It reminds me that ANYTHING is possible.
