Lee Know of Stray Kids has donated 100 million won, approximately $72,600, to support emergency relief efforts for flood victims in Nepal. The donation was delivered through World Vision on August 28, with the Stray Kids member asking that the funds be directed toward children and families affected by the disaster.
According to JYP Entertainment, Lee Know’s donation will support immediate survival and recovery efforts, including food and nutritional assistance, temporary housing, clean water and sanitation. The contribution comes as Nepal continues to respond to devastating late-August floods that have killed more than 600 people, left thousands missing and caused widespread damage to homes and infrastructure.
“I hope my gesture can be a small source of strength for those going through difficult times,” Lee Know said through his agency. “I sincerely hope that the flood victims and everyone working hard on relief efforts on the ground will return to their peaceful daily lives as soon as possible.”
The donation was made through World Vision, an international relief and development organization with which Lee Know has maintained a relationship for more than a decade. He began sponsoring children overseas through the organization in 2014 and has continued to support humanitarian causes in both South Korea and abroad.
In 2024, Lee Know became the youngest member of World Vision’s Bob Pierce Honor Club after donating 100 million won to the organization’s Global Food Crisis Response Project. That contribution was aimed at helping children in some of the world’s poorest countries facing severe food shortages.
His charitable work continued in 2025, when he donated another 200 million won. Half went to Samsung Seoul Hospital to help cover treatment and nursing expenses for adult patients with severe illnesses and pediatric care, while the remaining 100 million won supported Nabiyasaranghae, a cat protection organization focused on rescuing and treating abandoned cats and operating shelters.
Lee Know has also joined his Stray Kids bandmates in disaster-relief efforts. In 2025, the group contributed to Hope Bridge and World Vision to assist communities affected by wildfires in South Korea’s Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk regions, as well as supporting World Vision Hong Kong’s recovery efforts following a major fire.
The latest donation arrives during another major moment for Stray Kids professionally. The group’s latest mini album, THIS & THAT, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 369,000 equivalent album units, giving the group its biggest opening week to date.
