Billie Eilish has offered a fresh update on her fourth studio album, revealing that she and her brother and longtime collaborator Finneas are working intensively on new music. In a new interview with Vogue connected to the publication’s John Hardy jewelry collection, the singer confirmed that the pair are fully immersed in the creative process, marking the clearest indication in months that her next era is taking shape.
“We’re in serious album mode right now. We’ve been making a lot of music, and just hanging out with each other and our dogs,” Billie said. The comment offers a glimpse into the sessions behind the follow-up to Hit Me Hard and Soft, her critically acclaimed third studio album, released in May 2024. While she did not reveal further details about the material, her words suggest that the project remains an active priority for the siblings.

The update follows Billie’s April 2026 interview with Elle, in which she confirmed that her fourth album was already more than halfway finished. “Oh yeah! We’re more than halfway [done],” she said at the time, providing the first substantial progress report after months of speculation about what would follow Hit Me Hard and Soft.
Billie Eilish and Finneas have built one of pop’s most recognizable creative partnerships, with the producer helping shape the intimate vocals, unconventional arrangements and emotional detail that define her recordings. Their collaboration has carried through all three of her studio albums, from When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? to Happier Than Ever and Hit Me Hard and Soft.
Released on May 17, 2024, Hit Me Hard and Soft delivered songs including “Lunch,” “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower.” The album also fueled an extensive world tour, which had grossed $213.3 million across 83 shows.
