YG Entertainment is mapping out its next chapter, with Yang Hyun Suk confirming new music from BABYMONSTER and TREASURE alongside plans to debut two new groups in the coming years. In a written update on October 13, the executive producer announced BABYMONSTER’s digital single “DESERVE” for October 23, TREASURE’s new track “SHOCK” for November 2, and an early 2027 album target for BABYMONSTER.
The announcement marks Yang’s first direct update to fans in approximately five months. While he has typically shared company news through YG ANNOUNCEMENT videos, he explained that a busy production schedule led him to communicate in writing this time.

BABYMONSTER’s “DESERVE” will be the group’s first new song in around four months, following “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA.” According to Yang, the upcoming digital single takes a slower approach than the group’s previous releases but delivers a different kind of intensity. He described a sound that combines the members’ delicate vocals with their powerful delivery, building toward an emotional climax.
The release will arrive as BABYMONSTER continues developing its musical identity following its previous projects and performances. Yang also confirmed that the group’s next album is currently targeted for early 2027, although a specific release date has not been announced. “DESERVE” will offer an initial look at the direction the group is taking before that larger project arrives.
TREASURE, meanwhile, will return with “SHOCK” on November 2. Yang described the digital single as a powerful hip-hop track, following the group’s June mini album NEW WAV. That project explored different hip-hop styles and, in his words, marked the beginning of TREASURE’s second chapter, with the group making its biggest changes in musical direction so far.
Beyond the established acts, YG is also preparing two new groups: a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group. Yang said he is personally involved in getting both projects ready, positioning them alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER as important parts of the company’s future.
The two groups are expected to record demo songs currently in development by the end of 2026. Their debut schedules will become clearer once the title tracks have been selected, meaning neither group has a confirmed launch date yet.
