BABYMONSTER have officially announced their next release, unveiling the new single “DESERVE” just days before its arrival on October 23. The announcement comes only hours after the K-pop group was confirmed as a performer at the 2026 MAMA Awards, where they also earned multiple nominations.
The reveal finally answers questions raised by a mysterious teaser posted by YG Entertainment on October 5. At the time, the group shared dark, atmospheric visuals accompanied by the words “COMING SOON,” confirming an October 23 release at 1 p.m. KST without revealing whether fans could expect a single, an EP or another project. Now, “DESERVE” has emerged as the title of their next musical chapter, although further details about the track and its concept have yet to be announced.

The single arrives less than six months after BABYMONSTER released Choom, their third EP, on May 4 through YG Entertainment. Led by its title track, the four-song project reached No. 1 in South Korea and launched the next phase of the group’s live career, with the ongoing Choom World Tour supporting the release across 2026 and 2027.
BABYMONSTER’s latest announcement also comes as their international profile continues to grow. The group is among the first performers confirmed for the 2026 MAMA Awards, scheduled for November 20 and 21 at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. Their nominations place them among the acts competing for recognition at one of K-pop’s major annual ceremonies.
The October 23 release could also help build momentum ahead of the awards show, giving fans new material to anticipate before BABYMONSTER take the stage in Osaka. However, YG Entertainment has not yet disclosed whether “DESERVE” will arrive with a music video, additional promotional content or a larger project to follow.
Another unanswered question concerns Rami, whose participation in the upcoming release has not been officially confirmed.
