Karol G used one of the biggest moments of her sold-out Los Angeles stadium run to shine a spotlight on a cause far beyond music. During her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour concert at SoFi Stadium on August 14, the Colombian superstar announced a new relief fund to support communities affected by the devastating earthquakes that struck Colombia and Venezuela earlier this year.
Addressing the crowd during the show, Karol G paused the concert as QR codes appeared across the venue’s giant screens, inviting fans to donate immediately. Through her Con Cora Foundation, she also pledged to match every contribution, with the funds dedicated to rebuilding homes and supporting long-term recovery efforts across both countries.

Speaking emotionally to the audience, Karol reflected on the difficulty of performing while thousands of families continue to recover from the disasters. She told fans that it felt almost selfish to go to sleep knowing others had lost everything before encouraging everyone to stand together.
The initiative expands work the Con Cora Foundation had already begun following the catastrophic earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24. Two powerful quakes measuring approximately 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude devastated areas near Caracas and La Guaira, leaving more than 1,450 people dead, thousands injured and over 12,000 residents displaced. In the weeks afterward, the foundation partnered with Venezuelan children’s charity Fundana to provide emergency food, medical assistance, temporary shelter and psychological support.
Only weeks later, Colombia suffered another tragedy when a magnitude-7.4 earthquake hit the Chocó department on August 10. The disaster impacted western Colombia, including Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Risaralda, causing hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries and widespread destruction of homes. Although seismologists confirmed the Colombian and Venezuelan earthquakes were unrelated geological events, both countries continue facing lengthy rebuilding efforts.
The announcement came during Karol G’s three-night Los Angeles residency on the Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, which launched July 24 with a sold-out performance at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The stadium trek celebrates her new album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, released August 7 through Bichota Records and Interscope Records. The 14-track project features collaborations with Drake, Bruno Mars, Greg Gonzalez, Judeline and Rusowsky, continuing the global momentum she built following 2025’s Tropicoqueta.
