The result adds another milestone to an already successful release week for LISA. PRESS PLAY arrived on October 23, alongside the music video for “Tarantino,” and opened with 8.272 million streams on Spotify in its first day. That figure made it the biggest first-day Spotify debut of 2026 by a K-pop soloist, reinforcing the momentum surrounding the BLACKPINK member’s latest solo project.

The EP also reached No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart, while its tracks made an immediate impression on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart. “Tarantino” debuted at No. 44 with 1.911 million streams, and “SaWaDiKa” re-entered at No. 71 after gaining 123 positions, recording 1.607 million streams. The latter had originally debuted at No. 13 following its release in early September.

The response to PRESS PLAY extends beyond streaming platforms. The “Tarantino” music video amassed 41.9 million views in its first 24 hours on YouTube, becoming the platform’s second-biggest music video debut of 2026. Only LISA’s own “SaWaDiKa,” which recorded 73.3 million views during its first day, performed better among the year’s releases. Her 2021 solo debut “LALISA” remains the biggest K-pop soloist music video debut, with 73.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

Those figures give LISA the three biggest first-day music video debuts by a K-pop soloist, while “Tarantino” also marks her third video to surpass 40 million views within 24 hours. The EP’s Spotify opening was similarly strong, ranking behind just six other K-pop projects in the first-day streaming figures provided for 2026: aespa’s Lemonade, ENHYPEN’s THE SIN : BLISS and THE SIN : VANISH, Stray Kids’ This & That, BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE, and BTS’ ARIRANG.
