Clairo returns with her new album, “Charm,” marking a significant milestone in her career as her first independent release. Following her sophomore album “Sling” (2021), this new LP ushers in a fresh era for the artist. According to the press release, “Charm” evokes balmy summer evenings and intimate conversations, featuring warm, 70’s-inspired grooves that gracefully blend jazz, psychedelic folk, and soul. It represents an extroverted bounce back from the beloved “Sling.” Clairo recently shared the deeper meaning behind the album’s title, explaining that “Charm” embodies a feeling: “When you’re charmed, it’s that perfect blend of being goofy-eyed over a person – platonically, romantically – and not knowing how long it will last.”
The album includes eleven tracks, such as the previously released “Nomad” and “Sexy To Someone,” all written by Clairo. The production was a collaborative effort between Clairo and Leon Michels. Check out InMusic’s ranking of all the songs from Clairo’s new album “Charm” below.
