The K-pop scene has a new star ready to shine, and its name is MEOVV. After breaking into the industry with their debut single “Meow” at the end of 2024, the girl group—consisting of Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella—unleashed their debut EP, My Eyes Open VVide, under The Black Label. Combining lyrics in both Korean and English, the project features six tracks that blend elements from various genres, including hip-hop, funk, and experimental sounds, helping to shape the group’s artistic identity.

Beyond the high-energy beats of tracks like “Hands Up” and “Meow,” MEOVV also offers a more intimate look at personal experiences with “Toxic,” which explores themes of emotional turmoil and self-reflection. In true K-pop fashion, a strong visual component accompanied the EP’s release, with music videos for both “Hands Up” and “Drop Top.”

As there’s nothing better than starting the week with fresh new music, here is our ranking of all six tracks from MEOVV’s debut EP, My Eyes Open VVide.
