Normani has finally released her highly anticipated debut album, and it is probably one of the best R&B records of the year so far. The former Fifth Harmony member showcases her prowess in the genre while also incorporating elements of Pop. All the collaborations are well-crafted, especially “Big Boy” with Starrah, who also co-produced “Little Secrets” and “Wild Side.” In an interview with Elle, Normani revealed that the album’s title represents “the highs and the lows” of her journey.
The album was supported by three singles: “1:59,” “Candy Paint,” and “Wild Side.” The latter, which features vocals from Cardi B, is the only single that made it onto the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 14.
