Lady Gaga and Doechii have officially delivered their first collaboration. “Runway,” teased earlier this week, is now out, arriving as a surprise drop tied to the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Originally unveiled alongside the film’s final trailer on April 6, “Runway” leans fully into a club-driven, fashion-forward sound. Pulsing house production underpins sharp, attitude-heavy lyrics, with Gaga’s theatrical delivery colliding seamlessly with Doechii’s rapid-fire cadence.
Behind the scenes, the record brings together a heavyweight creative team. Writing credits include Andrew Watt, Bruno Mars, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, Henry Walter, Jayda Love, Jaylah Hickmon (Doechii), and Stefani Germanotta (Gaga), while production is handled by Bruno Mars, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and D’Mile.
The release extends Gaga’s long-standing connection to cinematic music moments. Her work on A Star Is Born produced the Oscar-winning “Shallow,” while House of Gucci reinforced her alignment with fashion-centric storytelling. More recently, her appearance in Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 introduced “The Dead Dance,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 top 50.
Notably, Doechii is rumored to join Gaga onstage tonight at her Mayhem Ball Tour stop in Saint Paul, a possibility that would mark the track’s live debut within hours of release.
