This Friday, we are treated to several major new releases. Chappell Roan drops her brand-new single, “The Giver.” The country-infused track marks her first release since the 2024 global hit “Good Luck, Babe!,” which became her breakout song and helped her win the coveted Best New Artist award at the 2025 Grammys. Chappell previously debuted the song live when she was the musical guest on SNL at the end of 2024.
The biggest surprise this Friday comes from Playboi Carti. The rapper has been teasing his third studio album, “I Am Music,” for the past four years. After several delays, the highly anticipated record finally arrives tonight and is set to dominate the weekend. The album’s tracklist remains under wraps, but Travis Scott, Young Thug, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Uzi Vert are rumored to be featured.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco also make waves this week as they gear up for their first joint album, which drops in two weeks. To build anticipation, they release “Sunset Blvd,” the third single from the project. The song, which arrives alongside a music video, follows their recent singles “Scared of Loving You” and “Call Me When You Break Up.”
