It’s time to refresh your playlist with some exciting new releases! This chilly mid-December Friday brings plenty of heat for rap fans. Nicki Minaj celebrates the one-year anniversary of her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, with a deluxe edition titled Pink Friday 2: The Hiatus. Announced on November 8th, this release marks the final chapter of the Pink Friday 2 era, following the Gag City Deluxe and Gag City Pluto Edition. Looking ahead, the Queen of Rap has teased plans for a new project, Pink Friday 3, which is likely to drop in 2025.
Rap legend Snoop Dogg returns with his twentieth album, Missionary. Released under Death Row Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records, the LP is entirely produced by Dr. Dre—marking their first full project together since Snoop’s iconic debut album, Doggystyle, in 1993. Featuring 15 tracks and collaborations with heavyweights like Eminem and 50 Cent, Missionary is a celebration of hip-hop greatness.
