This New Music Friday is nothing short of explosive! Nicki Minaj drops “Pink Friday 2,” her first album since 2018’s “Queen.” The LP serves as a follow-up to Nicki’s debut album “Pink Friday” and boasts 10 exciting tracks. In the album’s tracklist, the only featured artists are Lil Wayne and Tate Kobang, both appearing on the fifth track titled “RNB.” The lead single, “Super Freaky Girl,” was released in August 2022 and was voted as the InMusic Song of the Summer 2022. The second single, “Last Time I Saw You,” was released last September. Building even more anticipation for the album, Nicki Minaj mentioned that “Pink Friday 2” is “beyond anything I could have imagined.” In support of the album, the rapper has already unveiled the tour dates (click here for more information).
Adding to the excitement of this New Music Friday is Tate McRae with her sophomore album “Think Later.” There is a lot of curiosity about this record, especially since the first two singles, “greedy” and “exes,” achieved massive success. The first topped the Daily Spotify Chart for more than 20 days and became Tate’s first top 10 entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, “exes,” also achieved significant success, garnering over 40 million streams in less than a month.
