Olivia Rodrigo has officially released her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, ending months of anticipation surrounding one of 2026’s biggest pop projects. Arriving on June 12 via Geffen Records, the 13-track set marks Rodrigo’s first full-length release since 2023’s GUTS and finds her pushing deeper into alternative, indie-rock, and emotionally charged songwriting territory.

The album arrives following a campaign that steadily built momentum throughout the spring. Rodrigo first hinted at a new artistic direction earlier this year, describing the project as a collection of “sad love songs” shaped by longing, uncertainty, and emotional contradiction.

Commercially, the rollout has already delivered major results. Lead single “Drop Dead” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon release in April, making Rodrigo the first artist to debut the lead singles from her first three studio albums atop the chart.

Momentum continued with “The Cure,” released on May 22. The track debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 1 in multiple international markets, and launched atop Spotify’s Daily Global Chart with 7.215 million streams. Together, the two singles helped drive enormous demand for the album, which accumulated nearly 4 million pre-saves ahead of release.

Another fan-favorite inclusion is “honeybee,” which features background vocals from longtime friend Conan Gray.
