Nicole Kidman has given ADÉLA’s “Nicole Kidman” another major celebrity co-sign, discussing the song and its star-studded music video during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The actress praised the 22-year-old Slovak singer after discovering that ADÉLA had named a song after her and recreated several of her most recognizable film roles in the accompanying visual.
“I can’t believe it, she wrote a song called ‘Nicole Kidman,’” Kidman told Jimmy Fallon. “In her video, she did all the films I’ve done, half of them I can’t even remember, so it was really good seeing it. She’s so talented.”

The connection between the two began before “Nicole Kidman” was released. ADÉLA told the story behind the song after attending a Golden Globes afterparty in January 2026. Getting dressed up for the event, she said her corset was so tight that she thought, “I feel like Nicole Kidman right now,” turning the joke into the foundation for a glossy pop/R&B track about confidence, glamour and feeling like a movie star.
The official “Nicole Kidman” video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, takes the concept further by recreating imagery associated with Kidman’s career. References to Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge!, Birth and Babygirl appear throughout the visual, alongside the AMC Theatres popcorn commercial, turning the song into a playful tour through some of the actress’s most recognizable screen moments.
Released alongside ADÉLA’s debut album PRIMA on September 4 through Capitol Records, “Nicole Kidman” has become one of the project’s most visible tracks. The song has accumulated roughly 12.23 million Spotify streams, making it ADÉLA’s second-most-streamed release behind “Ain’t in LA,” which has passed approximately 98 million plays.
The track also benefits from the momentum surrounding PRIMA. ADÉLA described the album as something that should “sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl,” balancing confidence, vulnerability, ambition and the pressures surrounding a rapidly changing career.
Commercially, PRIMA has already established ADÉLA as a significant new international act. The album reached No. 2 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart. In the U.S., early projections have placed the album around the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, although the official first-week result has yet to be confirmed.
