“Ain’t In LA” has already taken ADÉLA’s career into unprecedented territory. The song recently peaked at No. 45 on Spotify’s Daily Global chart, giving the 22-year-old her first Top 50 appearance on the platform after previously debuting at No. 85 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Its Billboard debut also marked a historic achievement: ADÉLA became the first Slovak artist to appear on the Billboard Hot 100. The milestone followed a rapid rise on TikTok, where “Ain’t In LA” generated more than 433,000 videos through a trend built around celebrating the cities people call home rather than treating Los Angeles as the only destination for success.

The song’s appeal has extended beyond its viral hook. ADÉLA has explained that the track was inspired by her mother and photographs she discovered in Slovakia showing her mother surrounded by Western pop posters that had been secretly brought into the country decades ago. That personal history became the foundation for a song about ambition, identity and women pursuing their dreams from outside the traditional centers of the entertainment industry.

PRIMA expands those themes across a broader collection of songs. Executive-produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin, the album explores insecurity, toxic relationships, friendship, love, identity and ambition while combining aggressive production with more vulnerable songwriting.

“I want this album to sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl,” ADÉLA previously said, describing the balance between “the hard with the soft” and “the vulnerable with the swag of it all.” The title also reflects her ambitions: PRIMA means “first,” while “prima ballerina” represents the highest-ranking dancer in a ballet company — a reference to ADÉLA’s goal of becoming a leading figure in pop.

The album follows her 2025 debut EP, The Provocateur, and comes after the earlier singles “KGB” and “Red Bottoms.”
