After months of building anticipation with the singles “KGB” and “Red Bottoms,” ADÉLA has officially announced her debut album, PRIMA. The project arrives on September 4 via Capitol Records, with the reveal accompanied by a brand-new single, “Ain’t In LA,” and a cinematic music video directed by Fred Gervais in her hometown of Bratislava.

The announcement marks a defining moment for the 22-year-old singer-songwriter, who has steadily emerged as one of pop’s most intriguing new voices over the past year. Alongside the album news, ADÉLA has offered fans a first look at the artistic identity that will define her first full-length record.

“Ain’t In LA” blends booming 808s, glitch-heavy percussion, chopped-and-screwed vocal textures and polished pop melodies while reflecting on the sacrifices that shaped her career. Inspired by a recent trip back to Slovakia, the song was born after ADÉLA discovered photographs of her mother at 18 years old standing in front of a wall covered with Western pop culture posters.

My grandfather smuggled the posters in from Germany,” she explained in a press release. “It made me think, ‘There are so many beautiful girls with dreams who will never get their flowers like my mom’. I wrote this for her and the billion other bitches who are probably cooler than me.”

That personal storytelling extends throughout PRIMA. Executive-produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin, the album explores insecurity, toxic relationships, friendship, love, identity and ambition while balancing aggressive production with more vulnerable songwriting.

I want this album to sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl,” ADÉLA said. “I tried to express both sides. I mixed the hard with the soft, the vulnerable with the swag of it all, the muscular beats with the feminine energy. I did exactly what I wanted to.”

The title itself carries multiple meanings. “PRIMA means ‘first’, which is perfect since this is my debut,” she explained. “Being a prima ballerina means you’re the top dog or the best ballerina in the house. I’m trying to be the prima ballerina of pop, and this is my first step to achieve that.”

The album announcement continues a remarkable breakthrough year. Less than twelve months ago, ADÉLA released her debut EP, The Provocateur, introducing a theatrical concept centered on ambition and self-discovery.

Momentum has only continued to grow. Earlier this year, tickets for ADÉLA’s first-ever headline tour sold out within minutes. She also opened for Demi Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep Tour. Before her own tour officially begins in September, she will also appear at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 2 and perform at HERE at Outernet in London on August 25.

Her North American headline run opens on September 9 in Detroit before visiting Toronto, Montréal, Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Phoenix and Los Angeles, where two nights at The Fonda Theatre have already been scheduled. The tour concludes with back-to-back performances in Mexico City on October 15 and 16.
