Ariana Grande delivered an emotional farewell to fans during the final night of her Eternal Sunshine Tour, closing the 41-date run at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, September 1. Grande reflected on the experience from the stage, thanking her fans for their support and saying she would “cherish that experience forever.”
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Grande told the sold-out crowd. “It was something so special, and I will cherish that experience forever. And I have the best fans in the whole world. I’ve always had.”
She continued: “I loved every minute of this with you, and I just want to make sure that I’m expressing how grateful I am. Thank you, and I love you all so much, always.”
The emotional speech came after a tour that carried significant personal weight for Ariana Grande. The Eternal Sunshine Tour marked her first major headline tour since the Sweetener World Tour in 2019, with the 41-date run beginning in Oakland in June before concluding with a 10-night residency at London’s O2 Arena.
Ariana Grande’s final show also featured another memorable moment during “thank u, next.” She changed the song’s famous Ricky Alvarez lyric once again, singing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, I’m tryna make him my last,” replacing the original “now I listen and laugh.”
The final London performance followed an eventful closing stretch. Grande performed the penultimate show in cozy footwear after revealing she was recovering from a deep cut on her foot, joking that fans would see her “a few inches shorter than usual.” Despite the injury, she continued with the performance as planned.
The tour’s conclusion also comes as the pop superstar prepares to step away from public-facing work for an extended period. Her representative previously confirmed that she plans to take a break from visibility following the tour, while Grande has also stepped back from the planned 2027 revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George.
