Miley Cyrus is continuing to build anticipation around what appears to be her next musical era. On Monday (August 31), the popstar shared another striking red-and-black image on social media with the single word “MILEY,” while her social media usernames are reportedly being changed to @MILEY.
The latest update adds another layer to a campaign that has unfolded through cryptic visuals, a revamped website and increasingly minimal branding.
The newest photo follows the launch of mileyofficial.com, which now prominently displays only “Miley” on its homepage. The change removes the Cyrus surname from the website’s primary branding, prompting fans to question whether the singer is preparing to formally introduce a new identity for her new era.
That theory gained further momentum as Cyrus’ social media usernames began shifting toward @MILEY. If the change is part of the same campaign, it would make the single-name branding even more prominent across her digital presence.
The visual language has also remained consistent. A close-up image of Cyrus’ eyes was shared alongside the website update, echoing mysterious red-and-black eye imagery previously spotted on billboards in New York City. Those advertisements carried the words “COMING SOON” without initially identifying the artist or revealing what was being promoted.
Taken together, the clues have fueled speculation that Miley Cyrus could be preparing to announce a new album or single. Some fans have even suggested that a self-titled project called MILEY could be on the way.
The campaign comes months after Miley Cyrus entered a new professional chapter of her own. In 2026, she signed with Atlantic Records after 14 years within Sony Music, a period that began with her 2013 move to RCA Records and later continued under Columbia Records.
Her Sony era produced some of the biggest records of her career, including Bangerz. Released September 30, 2013, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and eventually earned triple-platinum certification from the RIAA. It also spawned “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball,” with the latter becoming one of Cyrus’ defining career singles.
Her most recent studio album, Something Beautiful, arrived May 30, 2025, through Columbia Records.
